Dancing up a storm

The Northern Rivers ballet company will present an exciting and entertaining TRIPLE BILL of BALLET and DANCE on its 2012 tour.
PETER PAN and Friends is Narrative/Story ballet while “The Kingdom of the Shades” is an excerpt from the classical ballet “La Bayadere”. Both of these ballets have been produced and choreographed by the NRBC artistic director – Fiona Munroe.
A formally trained classical ballerina and choreographer of inter-national standing, Fiona has, over the past 12 years, produced more than 20 dancers who have been accepted into Ballet and Dance companies around the world.
In complete contrast – the third piece “Enrapture” has been created by Renee Helenaz, (a finalist in “So You Think You Can Dance” Australia 2009). This is a theatrical, contemporary style of choreography, which highlights the versatility of the 25 highly trained dancers performing in this production.
Navrin Turnbull (13 yrs) will star as Peter Pan in this year’s NRBC production.
Navrin has recently had a successful Eisteddfod season in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Murwillumbah, receiving the award for Classical Dancer with the most potential.
