The hills are alive with the sound of SWEET SOUL MUSIC with Byron’s own American Soul Sister, Lisa Hunt, and her band singing it from the hilltops at The Bangalow Bowlo on Friday, March 1.

Dance the night away or sit back, watch and listen; either way you will be transformed by the voice that the critics have called “A true force of nature”… Fausto Pirito (Russia) and “A voice that deserves to be heard in her own right” … Billboard Magazine (USA).

Lisa began singing in that great African American tradition, the gospel church. There is where the foundation of her soulful singing style was laid. She went on to study voice at The City College of New York where she recieved a BFA in Music.

She has had songs on numerous compilations around the globe, both as singer and songwriter and has sold more than a million records. Lisa’s studio credits include sessions with famed producers Jellybean Benitez (Madonna), Toni C (Whitney), Frank Farion (LaBouche, Milli Vanilli), The Berman Brothers (Amber, Ultra Nate) and many more. Her voice can be heard on several top 10 dance tracks all over the world .

She has sung with musical legends such as Eric Clapton, James Brown, Ray Charles, Andrea Bocelli and Pavarotti; as well as Aussie icons the likes of Jimmy Barnes, Diesel, Tina Arena, Jon Stevens and Darren Percival. Lisa recalls, “I once had the honour of being invited onstage (in front of 50,000 people) to sing with MIDNIGHT OIL.”
