Former local girl and founder of the School of St Jude in Tanzania, Gemma Sisia, will be the guest speaker at a Mega Trivia and Auction night on Friday November 4, to raise funds for the school.
Local support group for the School ‘Mums on a Mission’ who last year attended the school and climbed Mt Kilimanjaro to raise awareness and funds, are again aiming to raise in excess of $20,000 to help children suffering poverty to gain an education.
Armidale Central Rotary are again lending their support to the cause.
“I am looking forward to the members of the community supporting this event,” said Mums on a Mission mother and event co-ordinator, Lynda Lynch.
“There will be plenty of prizes and fun had on the night, and to see firsthand how money raised assists the school in providing help to very underprivileged children is well worth the effort.”
The Mega Trivia and Auction night will be held at the Armidale Bowling Club on Friday November 4 at 7pm. World renowned Trivia Master and Mayor of Guyra, Hans Heitbrink, will again be providing his unique style of delivering the Trivia Questions. Tickets are $40 per person which includes champagne on arrival and a light supper. Tickets can be purchased from Uphill & Schaefer Real Estate at Armidale or the Armidale Bowling Club.
