On Friday August 31, at 5pm, the New England Regional Art Museum’s dedicated membership group, Friends of NERAM, is unveiling the Yellow Room Jigsaw fundraiser at the Art Museum.
The aim of this special Friends of NERAM community event is to help raise funds towards the purchase of Margaret Olley’s The Yellow Room Triptych for NERAM’s famous Howard Hinton Collection. The Friends of NERAM has already donated $5ooo to the Yellow Room Appeal.
This important oil painting, regarded by many in the art world as Olley’s masterpiece, has been reproduced as a jigsaw puzzle, and everyone in the community has an opportunity to own a piece.
So come along to NERAM on Friday to celebrate and make a tax deductible donation to the Yellow Room Appeal by choosing your favourite piece of the puzzle, and together we’ll recreate this magnificent artwork. Pieces are various shapes and sizes and are priced from $50 to $5000.
Your contribution to the Friends of NERAM Yellow Room Jigsaw fundraiser will help ensure that Olley’s masterpiece stays in Armidale for the community and visitors to enjoy for generations to come.
