Jan Kleeman’s regular criticisms of Council and particularly me, are wide of the mark. While Jan fires salvos from the sideline, Council has reviewed the policy in relation to heritage areas and solar heating installations.
The review encompassed officer review, a Council workshop and discussion in open Council. A motion, addressing the issue, passed through Council on Monday night (17 October) and is now on public exhibition, giving the community a second opportunity to have an input. The motion can be viewed in the Minutes of that meeting, now on the Council’s webpage.
Council looks forward to constructive feedback from the community on this policy. It is only through such participation that the policy can be improved and reflect the wishes and needs of the community.
