World Environment

Attendees to the World Environment Day event in Murwillumbah (Sunday 05/06/11) joined with tens of thousands of people across Australia to say “Yes” to action on climate change.
Tweed Climate Action Now (TweedCAN) believe making the big polluters pay for their greenhouse gas pollution is an essential part of acting on climate change. We believe that some of the money raised should go to low-income households, and most of the rest should go to renewable energy.
We must make the polluters pay now, otherwise we will all pay a far heavier price in the not-too-distant future.
Yasir Assam,
behalf of TweedCAN
