The following article appeared in the Rockhampton Morning Bulletin on 22.12.09. This is an excellent piece written by Terry Cardwell, who spent 25 years in the Electricity Commission of New South Wales working, commissioning and operating the various power units. For anybody who needs to be educated about Australia’s Coal Fired driven power Stations, especially in regard to the misnomer and misinformation about the burning of fossil fuels in our coal fired power stations.
Terry is now retired and is in excellent health at age 69. Nobody paid him to write the article which was, (to their credit), published by the local press. Terry told me I could distribute his article as I saw fit. So I kindly ask you to print the following article in its entirety, so as educate all Australians, so to having balanced and honest view of coal fired power stations and NOT some uninformed and misleading view of the burning of fossil fuels in our coal fired Power Stations in regard to the producing of Electricity, which we all need in our daily living and functions of life.
