Kennedy Drive what a JOKE. The residents of Piggabeen, Cobaki, Carool, BIlambil, West Tweed etc thought finally after 20 odd years a decent road, ‘the only road’ was about to come into the 21st century, but NO the funding had been reallocated to Kirkwood Road. WE have to wait for the state government in the new financial year to maybe give us money to complete the road. What a unacceptable decision the Tweed Council has made. How dare they take away the funding already allocated for Kennedy Drive, their rate payers are not happy. The condition of Kennedy Drive continues to deteriorate, it doesn’t even need rain to create craters. Now the amount of traffic using Kennedy Drive daily is enough to make a drive to town and back like a rally cross expedition.
Dodging the craters also creates a accident waiting to happen, dangerous conditions.
Tweed councellors should hang their heads in shame.Let’s hope they are all ousted in the next elections and people with common sense elected and our roads are made safe for all residents and rate payers
