I am writing to your newspaper in the hopes that I can slow down kindly folks’ donations to the Op Shops over the Easter Break.
We, and I am sure our neighbours, would prefer for the donors to hang onto their donations until Wednesday. Let’s be honest, we all love, and need, a break, so there will be no one to bring your donations inside.
If “stuff” is left by the door or under the bin, you can be sure that someone will feel they should go through it. If you are happy for this to happen, why not leave your donations outside your gate?
Please help us. If it will not go in the bin provided, please hang onto it for a few more days, until we are all open again.
