Carbon Tax advice

Yesterday the Prime Minister announced the details of the Federal Government’s proposed Carbon Tax.The tax and compensation package released by the Government has implications for every Australian business. NSW Business Chamber was included in yesterday’s Government Lock-Up in Canberra and we have prepared a detailed analysis on the Carbon Tax and a Guide explaining how the Carbon Tax (as it currently stands) will impact your business.
As an organisation representing business, we will continue to seek from Government the best outcome for our members.  We will also, despite the misgivings we have about the Carbon Tax, seek to provide you with the best advice on how the tax will operate and what it will mean for your business.  This is a complex package and, in the coming weeks and months, NSW Business Chamber will be undertaking a range of member activities to assist you and your business prepare for the introduction of the Carbon Tax on July 1, 2012. If in the meantime you have any questions, please feel free to email our Policy Adviser on this issue at carbon@nswbc.com.au
