Councillors

Dear Councillors  Kevin Skinner, Barry Longland, Dot Holdom, Joan van Lieshout, Katie Milne, Warren Polglase and Phil Youngblutt.
I am writing to ask you to vote, to refund to me, half of the contribution payment fee that I had to pay as a condition of my shop fit-out approval, for installing two hair wash basins at our new location. I had to pay $17,444.00 from my home mortgage for my small business to gain DA approval for our new shop fitout. (DA10/0535)
My reason for asking for this refund is because I have disconnected three hair wash basins from the water and waste system, at our old location, which was approximately 100metres from our new shop. I have reduced the load and impact on the said waste and water infrastructure to the value of one hair wash basin and, as your council engineers have proven that hair wash basins have a considerable impact, I would like to be compensated for my positive contribution in this good deed.
If you recognise the fairness in this application, the council will be seen as reasonable and fair, and not greedy and development hungry as has been the opinion of late. I have local news papers wanting to write about our new shop at “The Beach Hotel” Cabarita, and I would like to be able to say how fair and easy my process through planning and development was for our small business. Please vote in my favour.
I appreciate your urgent consideration of my application and do eagerly await your replies.

Miss Vivian Small
