I was astonished by a TV broadcast a few moments ago, the British cigarette companies are now using certain Australian images to further advertise their product. It has been proven beyond doubt that this revolting habit is responsible for shortening the lives of all those who indulge and die ghastly deaths.
The current Australian Government has made a futile attempt to cut down this vile custom. I might add people in the company of smokers are also at risk. No doubt the profits are still huge and boil down to money that PM Gillard, Kevin Rudd and others spend vast amounts of capital regularly travelling overseas, and hand over billions of dollars to the countries they visit as well as their own travel expenses.
There is a simple solution to this problem. Close down all cigarette companies. We, the electorate, are urged to lose weight, exercise, keep fit, and show the world what a responsible population we are. We cannot achieve this while a smoke ridden atmosphere pervades our lives.
Act now PM Gillard, show some courage, and do it immediately.
