PM Julia has finalised her latest Cabinet re-shuffle. Nikki Roxon, the new Attorney General, is in favour of same sexers marrying and says she will push hard to strengthen human rights legislation as well as advocating republicanism.
Out-going Attorney General, McClellan, is in favor of abolishing our time honored jury system and replacing it with a panel of “experts”. Trials are becoming just too complicated and technical for “unlearned” jurors to make informed decisions in complicated cases; so says this LEARNED lawyer. It is not the first time we have heard of THEM wanting to get rid of the jury system. The Constitution should have to be changed (by referendum) to accomplish this latest desire by the budding “revolutionaries’. But it is doubtful if we will see that. I think that Julia and her cohorts will think up a way to circumvent the Constitution and not let that time honoured document get in the way of their future plans for Australia.
