I have recently spoken to two Councillors: Joan Van Lishout and Katie Milne. Both were unaware the ‘goat track’ known as Kennedy Drive, will be sealed this August. Two years ago, Cr Warren Polglase said on his weekly Radio spot on Four CRB it would be sealed in August 2009.
A recent issue of Tweed Link, the monthly Newsletter that goes to 50,000 dwellings, said that work starts on Kennedy Drive in August this year (surface sealed and work on curbing.) So what is happening?
Could Mayor Skinner please explain how Lakes Drive, Jacaranda Avenue and Sunset Boulevarde were recently resealed, when Kennedy Drive has been a prioritiy for 25 years?
Finally, the pontoon that was removed from the top of Lakes Drive a year ago for repairs: What is happening about that?
