Is it any wonder I am confused when it comes to a price on carbon emissions, when even the scientists cannot agree on whether it is real or not.
There are so many conflicting reports in the press. Can anyone prove to me that, by putting a price on carbon emission, this will reduce the amount of CO2 into the atmosphere? One thing I am NOT confused about is that if the Prime Minister succeeds in getting this legislation through the parliament, the compensation promised to help offset the further rises in electricity will not cover the inevitable rises in all other commodities. Can the Government guarantee no-one will lose their job?
