Your correspondent, Ian Spiers, makes sound sense with his reasoning for the relocation of Emergency Services and other State Government Agencies at Chinderah. Suitable parking and ease of access is paramount for such a facility, as well as good design and planning.
It is our understanding, this area at Chinderah is not bounded by residential, unlike Kingscliff, which has to cope with 40 or 50 KPH speed zones, speed humps and other traffic calming devices.
Do it right the first time and not squander the opportunity to have response times drastically shortened, potentially saving lives and property.
We believe that the Chinderah location is the one best suited for the greater populous of Tweed and Southern Queensland.
