I was greatly disappointed to learn that our local members of state parliament are supporting same-sex marriage. I believe that marriage should be restricted to a man and a woman. When two people of the same sex wish to have a relationship I believe that they should find another term to define their relationship and not use marriage, which has long been used to define relationships between people of the opposite sex. I trust that, when the vote is taken, they will not vote to extend the use of marriage to include same-sex relationships.
