A NEW medical centre is set to bring an injection of services into the rapidly growing Truganina area.
ISPT, the developer of the residential community Forsyth Park in Truganina, announced last week that a 1000 square metre medical centre would be part of the development.
Known as the Forsyth Park Medical Centre, it will feature eight consulting rooms for general practitioners as well as a pharmacy and medical suites for potential future specialist providers including a psychologist, audiologist, radiologist, dentist, pathologist, podiatrist and physiotherapist.
Doctor Sonny Lumbes, co-director and spokesperson of the planned medical centre, said it would help service Truganina’s booming population.
“With the City of Wyndham expanding at such a rapid rate, facilities such as these are necessary in order to provide state-of-the-art care to the region’s many residents”, Dr Lumbes said.
“Our main priority is to make medical services easily accessible for the whole community. Many of our patients are elderly or incapacitated due to illness or injury so to have to send them away to a different location for specialised services such as radiology or pathology simply isn’t a viable option.”
“We wanted to be able to provide a range of essential medical services all under the one roof so that our patients and indeed the whole community can benefit.”
ISPT senior development manager Sean Hogan said the future medical centre would provide a welcome facility boost for Wyndham.
“When Sonny and his business partner, (Dr Sione Sisifa) approached us last year with their concept for a multi-purpose medical centre at Forsyth Park, we wanted to work with them to ensure their vision would become a reality,” Mr Hogan said.
