A NEW and enthusiastic occasional childcare co-ordinator is part of the recent overhaul of services at the West Footscray Neighbourhood House.
Rosey Martin has been welcomed as part of the new-look program planned at the neighbourhood house.
Neighbourhood house co-ordinator Jodie El Tawil said she was delighted to have secured Ms Martin to oversee the important childcare service.
“The appointment of Rosey is just the start of some new and positive changes we have in store for the centre,” Ms El Tawil said.
“Rosey is quite a find and exactly what our community needs.”
Ms Martin previously co-ordinated the occasional childcare service at the Laverton Community Centre, and as part of her new role she will develop and deliver programs for children with a range of needs in the City of Maribyrnong.
The childcare service is funded by the Department of Human Services and offers 24 places to families across the municipality.
Ms Martin encouraged families to drop into the neighbourhood house to discuss the specific needs of their children.
“I have big plans and exciting new programs to offer the children and I am really looking forward to working with families in the local community,” Ms Martin said.
The occasional childcare program operates throughout the year and during the school holidays, closing for four weeks over the Christmas and New Year and for Victorian public holidays.
