THE Mappin Reserve redevelopment project got underway this week.
The reserve, located between Nicholson St and Bell St in Seddon, will have a $450,000 makeover.
More trees will be planted to make the area an oasis, signage at the park will be replaced and more playground equipment will be installed.
Landscapers will make the most of the City and Dockland views that are visible from the park.
The park will remain closed to the public until the project is completed, by June this year.
