THE Footscray-Yarraville City Band will hold its annual Carols by Candlelight on Saturday 16 December, a free Christmas event held at Yarraville Gardens.
The community is invited to sing their much-loved carols along with the Tongan Choir, which will lead the night’s performance. Master of ceremonies will be Kevin Harrington, an actor known for his roles in Neighbours, Seachange and the movie, The Dish.
Ron Palmer, the event’s organiser said this year’s Carols by Candlelight was going to be bigger and better than in previous years.
“Bring some food, a blanket, and the whole family and get ready to have fun for Christmas, Maribyrnong style. If you forget to bring food, you can pick up a sausage or ice cream sold at the event,” said Mr Palmer.
The council is also supporting the event, which will be on from 7pm at the Yarraville Gardens, Hyde St.
