THE Planning Institute of Australia gave Maribyrnong Council a national award for its work on the revitalisation of central Footscray.
Mayor Janet Rice said winning the National Urban Design- Plans and Ideas Award for Planning Excellence showed that the council’s work was “first class”.
The award acknowledged the (re)Visioning Footscray, Footcray Skyline Study, Footscray Station Precinct Redevelopment Report and other developments in the area.
