Maribyrnong City Council is urging businesses and local residents to take part in a new project to help deliver environmentally sustainable projects.
Participants will develop leaderships skills and find ways to make their businesses or homes more environmentally sustainable, such as reducing water use or greenhouse gas emissions.
Participants are expected to come up with realistic ways to enhance sustainability and become community experts with the ability to train others with these skills.
An information session on the project titled Building Communities: A Leadership Journey will be held on 11 December at 11am at the council offices on the corner of Hyde and Napier Sts, Footscray.
