SPANISH speakers are now able to enjoy translations of the latest English novels with Maribyrnong City Council raising the profile of Spanish literature in the community.
Highpoint Library will host Spanish literature afternoons every Monday to give community groups the opportunity to discuss Latin American and Spanish authors and their works.
About 1000 Spanish speakers live in the municipality and the library has one of the largest collections of Spanish books to be found in a Victorian library, with a collection of more than 1200 volumes.
Spanish literature afternoon are on Mondays, 2-4pm at Highpoint Library, 200 Rosamond Rd, Maribyrnong.
