MARIBYRNONG City Council is on the lookout for more educators to join its Home Based Child Care scheme.
A community information session is being held this Thursday to give potential new educators more information about how the scheme works and the benefits of being part of it.
The council’s Family Day Care Scheme is co-ordinated and supported by Maribyrnong City Council to provide families with flexible and affordable child care in the homes of registered, qualified and experienced educators.
Care includes full-time, part-time and occasional care any day or night of the week, as well as school holiday care for primary school children.
Home Based Child Care provides children from birth to 12 years with learning opportunities in a safe, secure and caring environment.
As part of the National Quality Child Care Framework, home-based care is regulated by State Government licensing, national standards and the national child care accreditation.
