SUNSHINE Police are searching for a good Samaritan who helped catch a criminal earlier this month.
Constable Elise Jinks attempted to make an arrest after discovering cannabis plants at a residential address at about 2.30pm on Friday 6 January.
The alleged offender fled from police and Const Jinks gave chase on foot.
A quick-thinking citizen, who was driving past, pulled over and gave Const Jinks a lift.
Const Jinks was then able to catch up with the offender and make the arrest.
The driver left before police could thank him, but was also thoughtful enough to drop off a pair of sunglasses Const Jinks had left in his car.
Police believe the man was driving a silver or pale green metallic four-wheel drive.
