THE action group fighting for a better Sunshine Pool will stage its own version of the Commonwealth Games in a bid to keep its long-running campaign in the headlines.
Save Sunshine Pool Group will hold a tongue-in-cheek version of the Games’ swimming events, the only difference is it will be without water.
On the group’s website it was last week calling for entrants to its “dry water” breast stroke, butterfly, backstroke and diving events.
The group says the events will be held in a prominent Melbourne location.
