A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in connection to a deliberately lit fire that burnt four hectares around Caroline Springs in October.
Caroline Springs Police last week arrested a man, whose details have not been released, believing him to be responsible for starting a fire near Gourlay Rd, between Hume Dr and Gisborne Way, on 12 October last year – a day of total fire ban.
Police interviewed a man and expect to charge him on summons with lighting a fire on a total fire ban day and other fire-related charges.
Authorities thanked and acknowledged the public for providing information that helped lead to the arrest.
