SMALLBusiness Minister André Haermeyer today invited expressions of interest in funding for local small business projects under the Bracks Government’s 2006-07 StreetLife Program.
Mr Haermeyer said that funding would focus on retail shopping strips.
Organisations could apply for funding assistance for initiatives that involved strengthening local business networks, working collaboratively, facilitating small business growth and state-wide projects that improve small business capabilities, he said.
Mr Haermeyer said this year’s program would also encourage more involvement from business associations and councils in high growth areas.
“The 2006-07 StreetLife Program will provide matched funding grants of up to $50,000 to assist in small business growth, gaining new business skills and increasing employment,” he said.
