CONSTRUCTION of the new Cairnlea Community Hub is set to get under way after Brimbank City Council awarded the $1.4-million contract to Raysett Constructions last week.
The contract includes work on the new building, carpark and landscaping for what will become a new centre for Cairnlea’s families and community, and will include a range of services from childcare to family support services.
The development is a joint project between Deer Park Primary School, the State and Federal Governments and council.
Council will put in more than $320,000, with the rest coming from various state and federal grants.
