THE Victorian Sub District Cricket Association is on the ball and ready to go ahead of this weekend’s opening round.
An administrative shake-up has seen the South/West and North/East format abolished, with clubs now competing under the reworked North/South and East/West divisions.
For Sunshine, this change will provide a wealth of new competition, with Oakleigh, Noble Park, Croydon, Bayswater, Mount Waverley, Box Hill and Endeavour Hills all joining the division.
Sunshine has a big season ahead if it has any chance of reviving 2006-07’s flailing form, which saw the club finish on the bottom of the South/West ladder.
Competition starts Saturday at 12.30pm.
