THE Governor David de Kretser presented the Friends of Lower Kororoit Creek last week with an award for their conservation efforts.
They were presented with a major Landcare award, “Caring for Waterways”.
The Friends of Lower Kororoit Creek group was formed in 2001 and has since planted more than 20,000 indigenous trees and shrubs creek and removed tonnes of dumped rubbish.
