COURAGEOUS Tyler Fishlock will realise his dream with a trip to Disneyland, thanks to Convoy for Kids and the Bluey Day Foundation.
The Convoy For Kids Disneyland Appeal began some weeks ago,and the foundation and its supporters presented a cheque towards the appeal, to Tyler’s mother Georgette at Friday night’s Bluey Day Gala Fundraising Dinner at Taylors Lakes.
“We truly can’t believe it,” said Georgette.
“It is absolutely Tyler’s dream come true – he just wants to get on the plane now! It’s going to be a tough job to keep him occupied until we go.”
Tyler was appointed Bluey Day’s ambassador earlier this year as he represents the spirited children the Bluey Day campaign supports.
The five-year-old has lost his eyes to cancer in recent years and was given artificial eyes last year.
“He is an amazing inspiration to all of us here at Bluey Day,” chairman Neil Williamson said.
“We are in the business of helping kids with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, and as a company we banded together to help young Tyler realise his dream.”
“We are very pleased and proud to have the Bluey Day Foundation’s support in helping Convoy For Kids Inc. make Tyler’s wish come true,” Convoy For Kids patron Jan Maher said.
“Tyler is also an ambassador for Convoy For Kids Inc., and if more charities worked together so much more could be achieved to help special children with life threatening illnesses.”
This great news coincided with Bluey Day this year, the Police and Emergency Services Head Shave held around Australia on Saturday.
