THREE youths have been charged with a number of offences after a knife and machete attack in St Albans on Friday night left a group of teenagers with stab wounds.
A 16-year-old Kings Park youth and a 17-year-old from Taylors Hill have each been charged with one count of riot, affray, aggravated burglary and seven counts of intentionally causing serious injury.
The 17-year-old was also charged with two counts of resisting arrest.
A Delahey youth aged 17 was charged with intentionally causing serious injury and affray.
The youths have been released on bail and will appear in Sunshine Children’s Court on 15 October.
A group of teenagers received serious stab wounds in the attacked with knives and machetes which took place at a party in St Albans club on Friday night.
Police have been told a group of between 20-40 youths gate crashed the party at the St Albans Saints Soccer Club on Fox Rd about 10.50pm.
It is believed a large brawl ensued and some of the intruders produced a range of knives and machetes.
A number of youths attending the party, who were aged between 14-17, received serious stab wounds.
The group of intruders then fled.
A 15-year-old boy is in a stable condition at the Royal Melbourne Hospital with a severe stab wound to the stomach.

A 14 year old was treated at the Royal Children’s Hospital for minor injuries and has been discharged.
Detective Sergeant Steve Hill said the party was organised with a guest list and had adults present.
“This kind of attack which appears unprovoked is disgraceful,” he said.
Four others presented themselves to the Western Hospital with minor stab wounds.
