THE main road between Hillside and Taylors Hills was finally opened last week.
The connection of Hume Drive to Calder Park Drive means residents in the area can better access neighbouring suburbs and services.
Melton mayor Chris Papas said the road connection was a major part of the road network within the eastern part of Melton shire.
“This is another step forward in the provision of good access for our new and growing communities which will bring a range of benefits, both economic and social,” Cr Papas said.
The new road connection comes as a growing number of new services and infrastructure are sited in and around the town centre at Caroline Springs.
