THE next federal election will be held soon, and the Australian Electoral Commission is asking citizens in the federal electorate of Gorton to ensure that their enrolment details are up-to-date.
Residents who have not responded to a recent mail-out regarding enrolment and expect a visit from AEC representatives between 4pm and 7pm on weekdays, 9am and 6pm Saturdays and 10am and 6pm on Sundays to help ensure they are enrolled correctly.
The federal electorate of Gorton includes the suburbs of Taylors Lakes, Caroline Springs, Keilor, Deer Park, Sydenham and parts of St Albans, as well as some surrounding suburbs.
Australian citizens over the age of 18 are required to enrol to vote.
