A FOURTH community workshop to discuss Brimbank’s draft open space and playground policy and plan, Creating Better Parks, has been scheduled for Monday at Sassella Park.
The workshop aims to provide the community with another opportunity to comment on the plan during the extended the consultation period. It will be held at the Sassella Park Community Hall, Station Rd, Deer Park at 7pm.
The consultation period has been extended to Friday 29 February.
Brimbank mayor Sam David said in addition to the decision to extend the period of consultation, the council had scheduled an extra community workshop to allow more members of the community to have their say.
A summary brochure for the plan was distributed to all Brimbank households last December.
A copy of the plan is available on the council’s website www.brimbank.vic.gov.au under Community Consultation, at Brimbank’s libraries and customer service centres.
