POLICE are dismayed at the stupidity of a man who decided to play chicken with vehicles on the Tullamarine Freeway.
A 31-year-old Hillside man was treated in hospital for shock, after his Toyota HiLux struck the 18-year-old about 1.30am on Wednesday.
The teenager was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition. A 61-year-old passenger in the vehicle escaped injury.
Police said it was lucky nobody was killed as a result and couldn’t believe anybody would be foolish enough to take such grave risks with their personal safety and that of other road users.
