THREE teenagers were arrested on Tuesday 17 March following two attempted armed robberies in St Albans.
It is alleged the three males approached two victims at the intersection of Clare and Willaton streets near Ginifer station last Tuesday night between 9pm and 10.30pm, produced a knife and demanded the victims’ wallets and mobile phones before fleeing.
Local police and two members of the dog squad later found the three men at the intersection of Lovell and Glenmaggie drives in St Albans.
Embona Taskforce Sergeant Darren Franks said one knife was found near the scene of the robbery that police believe the offenders had discarded.
“All three offenders were arrested and taken to the Sunshine police station for interviews,” Sgt Franks said.
“They are now being processed by police.”
Two of the offenders, aged 15 and 17, are from Sunshine and one, 14, is from St Albans.
The two victims were males from Craigieburn and Kings Park.
