A CAROLINE Springs community centre opened last week will cater for young families in Melton Shire.
The Springside Children’s and Community Centre was officially opened last Thursday by a host of special guests and community members.
The centre was designed, constructed and fitted out under a joint use agreement between Melton Shire Council, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and Caroline Springs College.
Melton Shire Council Mayor Renata Cugliari said the centre would be an excellent resource for the Melton Shire’s growing community.
“This new facility will meet the needs of many families in our fast-growing municipality,” Cr Cugliari said.
“The centre caters to the growing needs of young families by offering kindergarten places, occasional care services and access to community space.”
