Police seize

TWO people have been arrested after police seized more than 200 marijuana plants from a Melton South home.
Officers from the Melton Police Station raided the Faircroft Drive property around 4pm on Wednesday and uncovered 206 plants, along with 30kg of dried cannabis.
The plants ranged between 30cm and 1.5 metres and were scattered in various rooms.
Police arrested a Melton man and woman, aged 54 and 51, respectively.
The man was charged with a range of drug offences, including possession, cultivating and trafficking a commercial quantity of cannabis.
He was bailed and is scheduled to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow. The woman was released pending further investigation.
