Shops suffer wash-out

By Charlene Gat
FOUR stores were shut down at Highpoint Shopping Centre earlier this month with a burst fire hydrant flooding part of the centre.
The fire hydrant burst at around 11am on 12 August at the south end on level two.
General manager Craig Osborne told Star the burst hydrant caused water to seep into four of their stores, which were immediately shut down to isolate the leak. A small section of the shopping centre was also closed off.
Mr Osborne apologised for any inconvenience the shut-down caused shoppers.
