RESIDENTS with green thumbs and interests in the environment are invited to attend two sustainability workshops.
Maribyrnong City Council is presenting a Green Lunchbox Session and Greening Maribyrnong Conversation in September, which will both provide information about sustainable living.
The Green Lunchbox Session, ‘Your Spring Veggie Garden’, will teach residents about the best vegetables and herbs to plant in spring to enjoy healthy food throughout the season.
‘The Egg and I: Keeping Chickens in Your Backyard’ will be the topic for the Greening Maribyrnong Conversation, exploring all you need to know about keeping happy, health chickens at home.
‘Your Spring Veggie Garden’ will be held from 12.30-1.30pm on Wednesday 7 September in the Function Room at Maribyrnong Council offices.
‘The Egg and I: Keeping Chickens in Your Backyard’ will be held from 11am-1.30pm on Sunday 11 September at West Footscray Neighbourhood House.
To register or for more information on either session contact the Sustainability Officer on 9688 0357 or visit www.maribyrnong.vic.gov.au
