Learning awards

IT’S the little centre making a big difference.
Maribyrnong and Moonee Valley Local Learning and Employment Network’s The Braybrook Family Inclusive Language and Learning Support Program took out the Minister’s Award at the recent Victorian Early Years Awards Ceremony.
The program not only won the $15,000 for its work in helping families develop English language skills and linking them with essential early childhood services, but was also a finalist in the Better Access to Child and Family Support, Health Services, Schools and Early Education and Care Services category.
The program is at the centre of a partnership between the Maribyrnong and Moonee Valley LLEN, Maribyrnong City Council and Dinjera Primary School to prevent generational disadvantage.
