Sharing the spirit

PROMINENT youth worker Les Twentyman brought Christmas to almost 100 kids last week in his annual Christmas party for disadvantaged kids and families. Families from the West donned their Santa hats and reindeer antlers for a hearty lunch at Lazy Moe’s in Maribyrnong. The lunch included a surprise visit and presents from Santa, who arrived in a fire engine with a police escort. Mr Twentyman started the tradition in 1982, when he used to take kids to his mother’s house for some festive cheer. 74734 Picture: DAMJAN JANEVSKI PROMINENT youth worker Les Twentyman brought Christmas to almost 100 kids last week in his annual Christmas party for disadvantaged kids and families.
