IT was a bus man’s holiday for Assistant Police Commissioner Sandra Nicholson when she went for a coffee at a cafe with a friend in Middle Park.
A thief reached into Assistant Commissioner Nicholson’s bag where it lay on a chair opposite her.
Victoria Police say Assistant Commissioner Nicholson asked the female thief what she was doing.
“And then she noticed the thief was putting something else in her bag- she saw it was the money she had taken.
“The Assistant Commissioner said she would call the police and took the woman outside the cafe, the St Kilda Police then arrived.
“The Assistant Commissioner said that the woman went quite pale when she realised from whom she had tried to steal.”
Assistant Police Commissioner Sandra Nicholson covers the entire West and outer western region.
