WYNDHAM parents who are worried their children may be using the addictive drug ice can get advice through a new State Government brochure.
The initiative is part of the Government’s $600,000 ‘Ice. It’s a dirty drug’ campaign, targeting 15 to 25-year-olds during the summer festival and party season.
The brochure, being distributed through Victorian schools and community organisations, contains information on how to spot the warning signs of ice usage and helps parents talk to their children about drugs. The consequences of using ice include depression, anxiety, paranoia and hallucinations. Ice is also mixed with a range of toxic chemicals and substances such as drain cleaner and battery acid.
