New campus

MANY students of Emmanuel College’s Notre Dame Campus in Point Cook began the school year in a new facility – stage one of a three-stage, $20 million project.
The Catholic coeducational campus is well on target to achieve its goal of being ready to support Years 7 to 12 by 2013.
For now, it was the Year 7s who moved into their new school – all 145 of them.
Their new building has a “learning street” of multi-purpose classrooms, an arts, science and technology section, a library and an office.
When the project is complete, the school will be able to accommodate 1000 students.
School spokesman David Formosa said there the school was needed due to rapid growth in the Point Cook area.
Parents interested in enrolling their children at either the coeducational Notre Dame campus or the all-boys St Paul’s campus are invited to attend an information session to be held at both venues on Saturday 16 February at 10am.
