WYNDHAM’S cricket clubs will soon be in charge of maintaining their own turf wickets.
The Wyndham City Council will give equipment to each of the clubs and provide training for club curators beginning in the 2008-09 season for most clubs.
Wyndham has six turf wickets on five council reserves.
The change will save the council thousands of dollars in manpower.
The council will continue to audit the grounds after the handover.
