WYNDHAM City Council will get a $15,000 grant to run an export program for up to 10 companies.
The grant, from the State Government, is aimed at helping small to medium-sized manufacturing and service-based businesses to expand through exports.
There will be both group contact and individual mentoring to develop plans for the businesses.
Other councils to receive the grants are Brimbank, Maribyrnong, Moonee Valley, Hobsons Bay and Melton.
In announcing the grants, Small Business Minister Joe Helper said the program would build on the work of Melbourne’s West Export Network.
